ACL Race Series Bearings
ACL Race Series engine bearings are the benchmark for high-load, high-RPM builds — trusted by drift, drag, circuit and time-attack engine builders worldwide. Australian-made, every Race Series set uses a hardened tri-metal construction engineered for the load capacity, embedability and oil film control a boosted engine needs.
Drift Spec stocks the full ACL range in New Zealand — over 1,000 part numbers covering main bearing sets, big end (rod) bearing sets, thrust washers, cam bearings, piston pins and oil pumps, including the CT-1 coated Race Series line. Common applications include Nissan RB25/RB26, SR20, VQ35DE and QR25DE, Toyota 2JZ-GTE, 4AGE and 3S-GTE, Mitsubishi 4G63 (EVO 4–9), Subaru EJ20/EJ22/EJ25, Honda B-series and K20/K24, Mazda B6/BP, BMW N54/N55/S55 and S85, Audi/VW TFSI, plus Ford, Holden, Chrysler and GM V8s.
Standard, undersize or extra clearance — which ACL bearing do I need?
ACL part numbers carry a size suffix, and two of them look almost identical. Getting it wrong will cost you an engine:
- Standard (STD) — for a crankshaft still on its original journal size, not yet reground.
- .025mm / .001" Extra Clearance (HX) — standard journal size, machined with extra oil clearance for high-boost, high-RPM and forced-induction builds.
- .25mm / .50mm / .75mm / 1.00mm Undersize — for a crankshaft that has been reground to that undersize. These are not extra-clearance parts.
.025 is extra clearance. .25 is undersize. If your crank has been ground, order undersize to match. If it is standard size and you want more oil clearance for boost, order HX.
